Our family haven’t used Subway for many years and will not use them unless their practice changes.
A shame which each citizen should complain .
You have to understand how Subway works first to be able to influence them. Their bottom line is profits and business, they dont care what you as a customer want. Boycotting will only do so much, reason being they are still getting the Muslim customers in numbers at the outlets they offer Halal food at. So how do you get them to listen? Hit them where it hurts, their profits. Get all your friends on board, go to the outlet, order 4-6 footlong Subs each, have them put extra mayo, chilli sauce and mustard in all the Subs so no one else can eat them. Then when they are ready, walk out without the sandwiches or paying. Have your friends do the same. Target all their outlets in one day with your friends, has to be done in one day so they arent onto you and the tactic. Now do the math, 6 Subs each, 200 friends, say 10 outlets, thats a lot of sandwiches they cant do anything with and a lot of loss. If they have a home delivery option, use that too the same day and when it arrives say you changed your mind. Doing this for only one day, to all the outlets by going there and also having them deliver will seriously have an impact. You got to do what you got to do 😉
Sorry, but we would not agree with taking illegal action at all, because it will make our Members targets.
The boycott when carried out by many can be very effective… and it is completely legal to just withhold your cash where you know there is halal ritually slaughtered meat – whether halal or haram, or where there are halal certified products on sale. Refuse to buy.
Leave the halal in the shop for the 5% muslim customers… Let them buy it if they want to.
We are not Followers of Islam and do not require halal certificates at all. So just walk past Subway and do not buy anything there.
This action can be a quiet personal protest or you can tell others about it, because it is our democratic right to make choices.
We have the freedom to choose what we buy when we go shopping or where we choose to eat out. It is a simple protest – Just Boycott Halal.
