Two Causes For Concern Regarding Morrisons

TWO CAUSES FOR CONCERN REGARDING  MORRISONS

1. MORRISONS have instructed their Meat Departments NOT put Meat Codes on Lamb or Pork or Chicken or Turkey… in fact only their Beef now displays the EU Meat Code.

WHY are Morrisons leaving the Meat Codes off of most of their  packaged meat???

TODAY I have been told by the Food Standards Authority (FSA) that this breaks the EU Regulations,

which state that ALL Packaged Meat MUST carry the EU Meat Code & Country of Slaughter.

If anyone doubts this, or if you just want to have your say to Simon Tudor, who is the person at the FSA who is responsible for halal, but admits very little… Tel: 0207 276 8339.

Here is an example of how Morrisons puts the EU Meat Code on their Beef (ONLY)

2. This morning I have found out from one of our Members that some MORRISONS Branches are selling LAMB Meat Code 6057

This 6057 Meat Code means that the meat is from Randall Parker Foods, Andover

… A HALAL CERTIFIED SLAUGHTERHOUSE & CUTTING PLANT!

WHY are Morrisons selling meat from a Halal Slaughterhouse & a Halal Cutting Plant???

Proof:
RANDALL PARKER FOODS clearly say on their website…

All our Halal lamb products are guaranteed to have been produced and processed in accordance with Islamic rites as well as our own high animal welfare standards. We are approved by the Halal Food Authority and we have been producing Halal products for many years. We are an established and reliable producer of Halal lamb for both the home and international markets.
Our processing is carried out by dedicated and fully qualified Halal slaughtermen with supervision by our own welfare team and UK Government veterinarians.
We implement strict codes of practice and policies to protect both animal welfare and the Halal standard.
We acknowledge the application of Islamic rules and principles may differ between communities and we will be happy to discuss the opportunities we have to meet your requirements.
It is vital to us that our Muslim consumers can buy and enjoy with total peace of mind.

RING MORRISONS HQ & COMPLAIN – 0845 6116111

Careful who you give you details to – I have crossed paths with Muslims there in the past -notably Madge Farid who was most rude. Also the Customer Care Manager, Claire Thornton told me that Daniel Armstrong is a Manager, but today I found out from Mohammad that he is not – he is actually working under Claire!

WHY cant Morrisons’ Staff be straight with me when I ring?

I aim to put all this in writing to…

Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC,
Chief Executive: Mr Dalton Philips,
Hilmore House,
BRADFORD,
BD3 7DL
Tel:  01274 261000,    0845 611 6111,
Email: dalton.philips@morrisonsplc.co.uk

ALSO Ring Your Local Branch and Tell Meat Dept. these two things…

All meat should show Meat Codes & to watch out for rogue packets of meat that are wrapped differently from usual -especially Meat Code No.6057

Find your Local Morrisons Branch Tel.No. by adding your postcode to their Store Finder here:

http://www.morrisons.co.uk/Store-finder/

You may also want to complain to DEFRA about the overproduction of halal meat as I did today. Tel: 08459 335577

I spoke to Geoff Webdale who’s been responsible for Animal Welfare in England since 2007

I told him that some of my Members are Farmers, who have changed abattoirs, because they couldn’t bear to see their cattle literally climbing the walls with their heads half hanging off.

Geoff cold-heartedly said,
“Well that shouldn’t be happening – they should have been tethered to hold them still!”

That just about sums the situation up really –

Does anyone care enough in Britain to stop this outdated 7th Century barbarity in our 21st Century abattoirs?

I thought Morrisons cared… until today.

The Care Team Manager, Claire Thornton gave me the distinct impression that she is fed up with hearing from me (I last rang just before Easter).

I told her that not labelling any meat properly with Meat Codes was against the EU Regulations, but she said Morrisons would not have made that move without checking it thoroughly first.

I also reported that we know they are selling unlabelled halal lamb in some stores.  Claire said –

“We do not sell any halal meat, other than New Zealand Lamb, which is clearly labelled halal.”

I replied saying –
“No… what you are probably selling is the cheap cast off halal lamb, that has failed the halal inspection, by having a blemish… or maybe there was a spillage… so it is rejected and called haram; …but has still been faced to Mecca, dedicated to Allah & Ritually Slaughtered – probably without stunning – certainly without adequate stunning.
Claire made no comment.
I asked Claire to ring me back when she finds out about the need for proper labelling.
Claire refused to ring me back, but promised to send me an email within 4 working days.

When I rang back in the afternoon to tell them that Meat Codes on all Packaged Meat was not an option, Claire Thornton was unavailable to speak to me, but I was reminded that she would email me.

I have had a soft spot for Morrisons in the past, as they are the only supermarket that say they refuse to sell halal… but this is the umpteenth time I have found them out.
So I hope you will all remind Claire Thornton that we are all checking the Meat Codes at Morrisons in the hope that we find meat from one of their own traditional abattoirs, for example:

2092            Farmers Boy            Bradford,        West Yorkshire

I spent five hours in all on the phone and finished off at 4:30pm by ringing TRADING STANDARDS, as advised by my MP and by DEFRA and by the FSA.

TRADING STANDARDS Tel: 0845 40405 (where I ring most days to give an update on more products that I am finding that are Certified Halal, but not labelled as such.)

Today it was MORRISONS and NATURE VALLEY that I brought to the attention of TRADING STANDARDS.

I heard this morning on BBC News that Nature Valley – which has a tiny Halal Certification mark on the back… are now to be the Official Cereal Bars of the 2012 Olympics!

WHY is there no mention in the advertising that the bars are certified halal by the Halal Food Authority?

WHY CHOOSE A HALAL PRODUCT?   Oh Yes… I seem to remember this news item published in January 2010…

BOYCOTT HALAL!

Understanding the Halal Industry

Since the turn of the 21st century, there have been efforts to create organizations, such as the Halal Food Authority, that certify food products as halal for muslim consumers.
“Halal” is an Arabic word meaning “lawful” or “permissible”, and the term not only covers food and drink, but also to all matters of daily life for muslims.

When it comes to halal food, most people think of meat foods only, but muslims aim to ensure that all foods, particularly processed foods, pharmaceuticals, and non-food items like cosmetics, are also halal. Frequently, these products contain animal by-products or other ingredients that are not permissible for Muslims to eat or use on their bodies unless the animal was Ritually Slaughtered.
This image shows the different sectors where there are active halal organisations.

Throughout the world there are many different Halal Certification Boards in different countries often with diverse standards or criteria for judging if a product or service is halal compliant. They seek to certify services, products & chains this will involve sectors, brands & corporations.
Halal Authorities use different unique signs like these ones in use in UK

Halal Services are food processing plants, meat cutting plants, mainstream manufacturers of soups, grains, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, prepared foods & other products, as well as hotels, restaurants, airlines, sporting venues, hospitals and other institutions.

Halal Products are linked to wide variety of organisations, from the small local businesses, to the huge multinational companies that export globally and market their products under particular Brand Names that will signify their association to those companies.
Chains are Companies that may have franchises or branches within one or more different countries.
In addition muslims look to change & control sectors involved in in finance, legal, media etc.. to bring them under halal compliance.
They will look at the company’s that are manufacturing &/or distributing products e.g. Dairy, Confectionery & Sauce products contain additives & flavourings along with the main ingredients which may become halal certified.
This worldwide halal organisation is being driven by the World Halal Forum (WHF) they are highly organised and well financed.

See their latest news here:  http://www.worldhalalforum.org/

WHF World Halal Forum

See all the well known brands they have already influenced… HSBC & Colgate can be seen clearly in that image.

Last year in UK the HFA aimed at Allied Bakeries and began by getting their Walthamstow Plant Halal Certified that will now be closely audited monitored & inspected by the HFA (Halal Food Authority). See them listed here…
http://www.halalfoodauthority.co.uk/members-new.html
This regular HFA audit now has to be paid for by Allied Bakeries, who will have probably been promised many benefits like wider distribution and expansion to new muslim markets. Ingredients used in the Aliied Bakery Plant now have to meet the HFA Standard. All cleaning products used in the plant must be halal too and not contain alcohol the requirements for halal compliance go on & on… and can include muslim workers only in certain roles… which marginalises Non-Muslim British workers.
This move on Allied Bakeries towards halal compliance affected 4 Brands Sunblest, Burgen, Allinsonand Kingsmill… but only Kingsmill (which involves 18 different types of bread) is showing the Halal Mark on its packaging which adds another additional cost.

So how can this be profitable with all these extra costs?
Many of these halal organisations are Registered Religious Charities and somehow have managed to claim that they are Non-Profit making, so get various Tax & VAT exemptions

(Yes… this will affect our economy as money is channelled off towards Islamic aims!) NOTE that Allied Bakeries is one of the UK’s leading Bakery Businesses one of three divisions of Allied Milling and Baking, which in turn is a part of Associated British Foods (ABF) plc, a major international business with a turnover of £11.1bn and close to 102,000 employees working in 46 countries. In the UK, well-known ABF brands include: Twinings, Silver Spoon, Primark, Ryvita, Ovaltine, Patak’s and Jordans Cereals. They supply Bread to Schools… which will now be halal and there is no mention of this massive paradigm shift on their website… Nowhere does it say that Allied Bakeries is now a halal compliant company.

How do I know all this?

I was on the phone to them every week as all these changes were made last year complaining… but it was all to no avail.

The only way we can show our dissatisfaction is to BOYCOTT ALLIED BAKERIES PRODUCTS and write & tell them we are doing so & why!
Vegetarians have contacted us and are specifically concerned about how Milk & Sauces are affected…

On that HFA link you will see a list of many companies including:

How Companies like Kingsmill Allied Bakeries go Halal

Since the turn of the 21st century, there have been efforts to create organizations such as the Muslim Consumer Group that certify food products as halal for Muslim consumers.

Allied Bakeries: Kingsmill gets the halal sign

ALLIED BAKERIES PLC is now a Halal Certified Company So what does this mean?

“Halal” is an Arabic word meaning “lawful” or “permissible”, and the term not only covers food and drink, but also to all matters of daily life.

When it comes to halal food, most people think of meat foods only, but halal bi-products are now replacing ordinary bi-products in many foods and even the gelatine capsules used for medicines.

The World Halal Forum’s aim is to ensure that all foods, particularly processed foods, pharmaceuticals, and non-food items like cosmetics, are halal compliant.

Products may contain animal by-products or other ingredients that are not permissible for Muslims to eat or use on their bodies, so the change-over to halal will mean that every aspect of a company will need to be halal compliant and this will possibly involve changes to the ingredients in their products eg. A Cheese containing rennet will need to have that ingredient replaced with halal rennet. (Rennet is used to make milk into cheese and rennet is an enzyme that usually comes from Calves it is a bi-product. )

Company’s that are manufacturing &/or distributing products e.g. Dairy, Confectionery & Sauce products these will contain additives & flavourings along with the main ingredients which will need to be changed for the brand to become halal certified.

KFC Say..
At KFC we listen to our customers to help us to evolve our menu and the choices we offer. For some time, we have received requests to provide halal food in parts of the UK and as a result of this, we are running a halal trial within communities where we anticipate a strong demand for halal products.
However, it seems that there are many KFC outlets in areas where there are very few muslims… so who is this HALAL Chicken for?

More KFC HALAL Outlets (73) are listed here on the Zabihah World Halal Food Guide website:

Halal Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)  after having completed the successful halal trial of phase one and phase two, has now moved to the third stage of its launch of halal participating stores.

Muslim would invite HFA to rejoice that in the European Halal trials in KFC food outlets, there is no PORK or any intoxicating ingredients. Halal Food Authority, (HFA) invites all Mulsims to be partial to the delicious KFC recipe that prepared with halal approved products.

Alhamdulillah all products sold at halal participating KFC stores have been contractually checked and verified as Halal after detailed analysis of all ingredients and components therein. All KFC chicken is sourced from halal approved suppliers and slaughtered in compliance of Islamic jurisprudence and Shariah laws. And all the ingredients of the products used therein has been contractually validated and approved as halal by HFA in accordance with Islamic Sharia’h laws and dictums .

May Allah give us all hidayat to seek, procure and consume halal always Insha Allah.

KFC make may claims that their halal certified chicken would meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK and that it has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this… AND  KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter….
HFA allows the use of a technique called ‘stun-to-stun’ a so-called “pain free process” that is said to make the animal insensible to pain and suffering….

BUT Muslims question whether KFC is actually meeting halal standards, because…

Soft, a provider of KFC, slaughtered 330,000 chickens per day!

Proof: See towards the bottom of this page…

Furthermore, the birds are “slaughtered by a machine via a disk, at a steady pace, preventing any recitation by a man or a woman, the ritual formula required. ”(Source AVS ). Now for the meat of an animal is lawful for consumption, it must have been slaughtered by a Muslim who performs the act explicitly on behalf of God. Neither the circular saw, or the cassette, or the registration on the wall, can replace the shahada Muslim priest.

So……. is KFC halal or not?

Here we see Naved Syed owner of Janan Meats questioning the ‘Blessed Blade’ and the ‘Shahada Cassette’ which are used at many so-called halal Poultry Slaughterhouses….

In answer to this condemnation of Mechanical Slaughter methods by many muslims, the Halal Food Authority have issued this Press Statement in defence of their authentication of KFC which is prepared by mechanical means…

See the HFA PRESS RELEASE here:

KFC say…  A verse is also recited from the Koran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain.

Halal Foods Are Islam’s Trojan Horse

Opposition to Halal Food Products (and also, non-edible Halal Products in the cosmetics/toiletries industry) should be a core action by the worldwide ‘counter-jihad movement’ for the following reasons:

1. It is unnecessarily cruel to animals;
2. It is an infringement on, and violation of, Christian teaching forbidding the eating of food offered to a pagan deity;
3. Most importantly of all: the profits from Halal food slaughter, sales and distribution can, and are intended, to serve as a conduit for the funding of JIHAD, as underlined in the uses of Zakat:

a. Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is, therefore, an essential component of Islamic teaching and practice.
b. Zakat is an annual, obligatory tax on all Moslems on their personal and business wealth.
c. Zakat’s recipients, and uses, are stated in Koran 9:60.
d. One of those recipients is the Mujahideen, those who “Fight in the Cause of Allah” or in the “Way of Allah”.
e. The above phraseology is used throughout the Koran and Hadiths (Bukhari, Muslim predominantly) as the reference to Jihad.
f. Jihad is defined in Islamic law as “etymologically derived from the word mujahada, struggle, signifying warfare to establish the religion” (‘Umdat al-Salik) and this is underlined in the section on Zakat by specific reference to Koranic and Hadith passages which unmistakeably speak of warfare against all non-Moslems.
4. Bringing the facts of Point 3 to the attention of the general public serves to explain the inherently violent AND inherently seditious and political nature of Islam;
5. Open opposition can serve to stop this major source of funding terrorism and Islamisation of the West and its peoples. This opposition to Halal should be a concerted, public and uncompromising activity. Hundreds of comments in the British, European and American newspaper online sites express peoples’ objections to Halal food slaughter and that food products are deliberately left unlabelled so people cannot exercise an informed choice. How much greater would be public opposition to Islam if people knew that, by consuming, unwillingly or unwittingly, Halal food, we are thereby funding our own enslavement or deaths?

As the Grand Mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina (Mustafa Ceric) stated in 2010 to the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry: “We shall conquer the world via the Halal movement”.

Halal Funds Terrorists: ZAKAT

If You Buy Halal,  You Are Indirectly Financing Terrorism Via Zakat

It is unlikely that anyone else will inform you about this…

Islamic law requires a 2.5% tax called zakat which is imposed on income and accumulated wealth of all devout Muslims.
ie. the muslims that are involved in the halal industry- the imams, slaughtermen, workers, business & shop owners etc.

Halal certification is done on a fee for service basis, with the fees varying with the scope and scale of the services.
Certification is provided by Islamic organizations, and would not be halal if the required zakat was not paid on the fees.

What you may not know is that there are eight classes of zakat recipients, each of which gets a 1/8 share of the gross.
One of those classifications is fighters in Allah’s cause aka Mudihideen, aka terrorists.
When you purchase a product which is certified Halal, you are indirectly contributing to terrorism.

I quote from Reliance of the Traveller, the Shari’ah handbook of the majority Sunni sect of Islam.

h8.7: The Eight Categories of Recipients

It is obligatory to distribute one’s zakat among eight categories of recipients (O: meaning that zakat goes to none besides them), one-eighth of the zakat to each category. (n: In the Hanafi school, it is valid for the giver to distribute his zakat to all of the categories, some of them, or to confine himself to just one of them (al-Lubab fi sharh al-Kitab(y88), 1.155). )

h8.17: Those Fighting for Allah
The seventh category is those fighting for Allah, meaning people engaged in Islamic military operations for whom no salary has been allotted in the army roster, but who are volunteers for jihad without remuneration.
They are given enough to suffice them for the operation, even if affluent; of weapons, mounts, clothing, and expenses for the duration of the journey, round trip, and the time they spend there, even if prolonged.
Though nothing has been mentioned here of the expense involved in supporting such people’s families during this period, it seems clear that they should also be given it.

Reliance Of The Traveller Book Download

Over a billion people in the world follow the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad. His followers accept the validity of the prophethood of Muhammad and sincerely believe that his teachings are a divine message from Allah (God).

They believe that the message is embodied in the Holy Qur’an, and this Qur’an is the living word of Allah for ALL of humanity.

Islamic Charity Organizations: Alms & Terrorism

As-Sadaqât (here it means Zakât) are only for the Fuqarâ’ (poor), and Al-Masâkin (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and for to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islâm); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allâh’s Cause (i.e. for Mujâhidûn – those fighting in the holy wars), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allâh. And Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise. Al-Tawba 9:60

http://quran.com/9

One of the five pillars of Islam is the requirement that every Muslims contribute to the Islamic charity (alms) tax or Zakat.

According to the Qur’an, the Zakat funds must be used for the following purposes.

  1. The Fuqara poor. They are the poor who do not beg for support.
  2. The Masakin. The destitute; They are the poor who beg for support.
  3. Amil’ Zakah.  Those who administer the collection and distribution of the Zakat funds.
  4. Mu’Allaf. Those who may be enticed to Islam as well as new converts who need financial support.
  5. Riqab.  Those in bondage; Those Muslim slaves who may have their freedom purchased.
  6. Fi sabi `Lillah. Those who are fighting in the Cause of Allah, e.g., the Mujahideen.
  7. Ibn as’Sabil. The wayfarer; Muslim travelers who need assistance while on a journey.
  8. Gharimun – ‘people burdened with debt’

One of the purposes of the Zakat tax is to support those struggles in the Cause of Allah (6.).  The Noble Qur’an states that Allah’s Cause entails supporting Mujahideen or those who are fighting in the battles and wars of Allah. So, it is no wonder that Islamic charitable organizations send funds to militant organizations who fight in the Cause of Allah. From the perspective of many non-Muslims, some of these militant organizations are terrorist organizations.

The hadith of al-Bukhari in its section on Zakat informs us that Khalid did not have to pay the Zakat because he kept his armor dedicated to the Cause of Allah.  Armor is used for battle and not for charitable purposes as normally understood by non-Muslims.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) ordered (a person) to collect Zakat, and that person returned and told him that Ibn Jamil, Khalid bin Al-Walid, and Abbas bin ‘Abdul Muttalib had refused to give Zakat.” The Prophet said, “What made Ibn Jamll refuse to give Zakat though he was a poor man, and was made wealthy by Allah and His Apostle? But you are unfair in asking Zakat from Khalid as he is keeping his armor for Allah’s Cause (for Jihad). As for Abbas bin ‘Abdul Muttalib, he is the uncle of Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) and Zakat is compulsory on him and he should pay it double.” Sahih Al-Bukhari, Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat), Volume 2, Book 24, Number 547

Those Islamic Terrorist organisations fall under “Fi sabi `Lillah” or those ‘in the path of God’

Fi Sabi-Lillah
This means ‘in the path of God’ and pertains to anyone struggling for a righteous cause, including but not limited to the expenditure towards the promotion of Islam and for all charitable purposes. This also includes Jihad. Those struggling for Allah.

Towards the end of the same article…
In conclusion, the Qur’an indicates that a portion of the Zakat, Islamic charity, should be used for militant Islamic objectives. An article in the New York Times states,

Terrorist groups rely on contributions from wealthy religious conservatives in the Persian Gulf as well as from money diverted from the zakat — the mosque collection plate — on several continents. Money is often funneled through reputable charities into the hands of operatives. For instance, the World Trade Center bombing was financed through money coming from the Alkifah Refugee Center in Brooklyn. And the system of funneling money through charities has improved greatly since then.

FURTHER PROOF that Zakat Funds Terrorism:
The 9/11 Commission found that Al Qaeda was funded “almost entirely” by zakat and sadaqa (donations beyond the 2½ zakat rate).

Quote from the 9/11 Commission Report:

Bin Laden did not fund al Qaeda through a personal fortune and a network of businesses in Sudan. Instead, al Qaeda relied primarily on a fund-raising network developed over time.
The CIA now estimates that it cost al Qaeda about $30 million per year to sustain its activities before 9/11 and that this money was raised almost entirely through donations.

FURTHER PROOF:

“Conquer the world through Halal movement”
In 2010, the mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mustafa Ceric, a Muslim Brotherhood leader in Europe, has evoked this project of Islamic conquest in a speech given in Islamabad (Pakistan) at the Global Halal Congress – Reported by the Daily Mail (Islamabad) and archived by GMBDR

In her March 13 report broadcast on Dumont le midi TV show, journalist Caroline Lacroix revealed that Olymel pays thousands of dollars to the…

“Association des viandes halal that is controlled by Abou-Baker-Assedique mosque” located at 371 Jean-Talon E. in Montreal for the halal certification of its chickens.

Where does all this money collected for halal inspections, halal monitoring and halal certification fees… Where does it all go???

La question maintenant : ou va l’argent de la certification halal?

Stages of halal – Boycott all 3:

1. Company becomes halal compliant, seeks to appease muslims.
(Boycott)

2. Company/product/service becomes halal certified.
(Very serious boycott)

3. Mark is displayed on Product/service.
(Avoid at ALL Cost!)

Unfair Trading – ‘RS’ Label Required

We suggest a ‘RS’ Label is required for ALL Halal Certified products & services

Here is why…….

Over the past 10 years or more, Shoppers &  Consumers have been unwittingly buying unlabelled halal products & services through Unfair Trading in our supermarkets, shops and food outlets. We now have found that halal suppliers have been granted Government Contracts and we are also being fed halal through our Institutions… Schools, Hospitals, Prisons, Care Homes, Sporting Venues etc.

Many Non-Muslims, such as our thousands of Members of BOYCOTT HALAL, do not want to buy halal products & services at all – and it is outrageous when we realise, by doing some research, that our well known branded products have in fact become halal certified… yet this has not been displayed on the packaging.

It is particularly sickening when that Unlabelled halal certified product is FOOD – often a well-known branded product, that we have unwittingly bought, that has been tampered with through Islamic Halal Compliance – and we have bought it and eaten it, because it was not clearly labelled.

Re: Labelling – Legally we should surely be protected by…

‘The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008′ under Part 2, Section 6 ‘Misleading omissions’.

WHY are we allowing  outdated 7th Century Ritual Slaughter in 21st Century Britain?

The UK is NOT an Islamic nation – Britain is in fact founded on Judeo-Christian values – so WHY is there such a vast over-production of Halal Meat when less than 5% of the population are Muslims? …and when their Qu’ran clearly tells them that they can simply pray over food to make it acceptable?

Consumers need to be able to identify whether they are buying or eating Traditional British meat or ‘RS’ meat (Halal ‘Ritually Slaughtered’ Meat) and the 95% of the British population that are Non-muslims just need clear labelling in plain English.

Yet for several years we have been asking our Government, DEFRA and the EU for more transparency in labelling, but the issue has not been addressed through ‘sensitive’ arguments over stunning.

We say Label ALL Ritually Slaughtered meat whether it was stunned, Reversibly Stunned, ultra-low amperage stunned, post-stunned or not stunned at all…

LABEL IT RS NOW!

MOO - We Like our Non-Halal Halal World

MOO – We Like our Non-Halal Halal World

The fact that this meat has been involved in a ritual, dedicating it to a foreign god – Allah, is enough to warrant the labelling of this meat, as ‘Ritually Slaughtered’ – let’s call it ‘RS’ Meat.

RS’  also stands for ‘Religious Standard’ and can cover ALL halal certified products too – whether Food or Non-Food.

RS can also be used as a sign on all halal certified services and businesses that have gone down the halal compliance route to fulfil a ‘Religious Standard’.

We should not be relying on the, less than 5%,  Muslim minority for mainstream Consumer Information – that is the job of our elected Government and it is also the job of the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, who should be writing the necessary Policy enforce proper labelling, so that we can make a reasoned choice about what we are buying.

More transparency in labelling is needed so that shoppers can make a reasoned choice.

More transparency in labelling is needed so that shoppers can make a reasoned choice.

There is also the issue over ‘What Is Halal’ that confuses retailers… so rather than get it wrong, and possibly be sued, halal products are not being labelled… and us shoppers are being hoodwinked into buying them.  There is no way that we Boycott Halal Members would ever buy meat that we knew had been Ritually Slaughtered, but since checking out the EU Meat Codes on packaged meat, we have discovered that we have unwittingly been buying this meat that has clearly come from Licensed Halal Certified Slaughterhouses.

Then we find a great confusion over what is halal and what is not…

Some meat, after the halal Ritual Slaughter, does not meet the grade at the Post-Slaughter Meat Inspection and is judged to Not be halal by the Muslim Inspector. It is the ‘Rejected Substandard’ meat that is pronounced as being haram… “Unfit For Muslim Consumption”

! Ah - It's HARAM

So Why does a Meat Carcass become HARAM?
One reason that a Ritually Slaughtered carcass can get judged to be Haram by the Inspector is that something went wrong at the actual slaughter.
Other reasons happen at the Post Slaughter Meat Inspection… maybe the animal is found to have blemish; or maybe there was a spillage of stomach contents over part of the carcass as it was cut, or maybe when cutting open the carcass, a suspicion arises that it may have some sort of infection or a possible disease…

MEAT INSPECTION
http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/topics/topic/meatinspection.htm

As far as we can gather, no note is made & kept with each carcass regarding the reason for rejection as substandard; this meat is separated from the halal and put in the ‘Haram Warehouse’ where it is sold off cheap to Big Buyers, from Supermarkets or Restaurant Chains…. to save waste and to provide meat at the cheapest prices.
This meat cannot then be labelled halal – even though it has had a prayer said over it to allah and it has been Ritually Slaughtered facing Mecca –
AND obviously no one would want to buy the ‘Rejected Sub-standard’ meat, if it was labelled ‘Haram’
It MUST be labelled and the ‘RS’ label would signify that it is the ‘Rejected Substandard’.

At the Post Slaughter Meat Inspection the carcass may be judged to be haram - so this meat is discarded and sold off to Non-Muslims.

At the Post Slaughter Meat Inspection the carcass may be judged to be haram – so this meat is discarded and sold off to Non-Muslims.

At the moment this haram Ritually Slaughtered meat is discarded into the mainstream Food Chain Unlabelled as such, and sold as conventional meat!
What an Outrage eh!
You may go to your butcher and say, “Is that meat halal?”
And your butcher can truthfully say… “No, this is definitely NOT halal meat.”
I had one butcher rub a piece of meat with Lard and say, ” There… now that meat is certainly Not Halal is it!”
And he seemed quite surprised when I said…
“That pig fat has not changed the way the poor animal was slaughtered without proper stunning!”
He then had the audacity to suggest, with a smile, that I could pray over it!
Clearly if Meat or Poultry has been dedicated to a foreign god and slaughtered unstunned or with a Reversible Stun, it is therefore not Traditional Meat – and it should be Labelled in some way as such. We suggest ‘RS’

HALAL SLAUGHTER
Clearly if we are not able to make a reasoned choice as we buy products, because they are not clearly labelled, we are being treated unfairly – this lack of transparency in labelling is Unfair Trading.

Some confectionery, e.g. chocolate, includes halal by-products eg. halal rennet from ritually slaughtered calves; other brands do not, but may still be halal certified with halal additives. Many Dairy Products are now halal certified, like this yoghurt – but it does not tell you that on the label… it is only when checking the small print that it is found to have ‘halal gelatine’ amongst the ingredients. Our Boycott Halal Members would Not want to buy a product that contains halal gelatine, because it could be made from the bones of ritually slaughtered livestock – but we have been hoodwinked into buying it, because it is Unlabelled Halal Yoghurt!

This Yoghurt was found to have halal gelatine amongst the ingredients in the small print.

This Yoghurt was found to have halal gelatine amongst the ingredients in the small print. Yes, yoghurt with gelatine which could have been made from the bones of ritually slaughtered animals!

No Boycott Halal Member would choose to buy this, because they would never want to buy a halal certified product.
However this Yoghurt is Not Labelled as halal anywhere on the packaging… unless you take time to read the small-print.
This is how consumers are tricked into thinking that a product, with a well known Brand name, is OK… when in fact they have unwittingly bought and been eating yoghurt that contains Ritually Slaughtered Animal by-products!

This is the time-consuming process that we have to follow in order to to avoid buying halal products…

This is the lengthly Process we have to go through now in order to Avoid Halal Food Selection

This is the lengthy Process we have to go through now in order to Avoid Halal Food Selection

We want to boycott all halal products & services, because we do not want to encourage the production of more… by not buying halal, our action will logically reduce demand and hopefully production as companies see their profits fall.

HOW MUCH EASIER IT WOULD BE WITH THE RS LABEL

ALL RS food & even non-food products using halal by-products are following the halal Religious Standard and should be labelled as such, to inform shoppers.
All manufacturers & retailers eg. Restaurants  should also have the ‘RS’ symbol if they are Halal Certified and thereby producing products according to a Religious Standard OR operating a service eg. Meat Cutting Plant, according to a Religious Standard.

RS Label

RS Label

Article 9 Human Rights Act. regarding Freedom of Conscience – should give us the right to religious and secular freedom, ie to not be forced to participate in religious rites.
Dedicating this meat to a god violates this right: hence there is forced participation in another’s religion without consent.
Also Jews, Sikhs & Christians are specifically instructed not to eat this meat, so where is their religious freedom?

We need to know what we are buying and eating and we want to know if products & services are following a religious standard, or are traditional to our nation.
I introduce to you the RS Label which could bring real transparency in labelling…

The ‘RS’ Label could also be in Black & White to reduce costs.

The 'RS' label is for ALL products that contain Ritually Slaughtered meat or its by-products; or additives included, because they conform to a Religious Standard

The ‘RS’ label is for ALL products that contain Ritually Slaughtered meat or its by-products; or additives included, because they conform to a Religious Standard.
The ‘RS’ mark is also for ALL products or services that follow a Religious Standard.

The ‘RS’ Label should be applied to…
Label ALL Ritually Slaughtered Meat whether it ends up classified as halal or haram or ends up being used as a by-product eg.Rennet, Leather
Label ALL food products with ingredients that include halal by-products OR that conformed to a Religious Standard in production
Label ALL Halal Certified products – whether food or non-food, because they adhere to a Relgious Standard
Label ALL Halal Certified services eg. Food Services, Cutting Plants, Food Processing Plants, Packaging, Transport, Financial, Housing, Tourism etc.
Label ALL Halal Certified products with ingredients emanating from Microbiological Pharmaceutical Quality Control Labs & Microbial Enzymes
Label ALL Non-food  products that include halal Religious Standard by-products or that conformed to a Religious Standard in production
Label ALL Halal Certified Chains clearly at every entrance and point of sale eg. shops, supermarkets, fast food eateries, take-aways, restaurants etc.
Label ALL ‘RS’ foods that are served to consumers in Institutions eg. Schools, Colleges, Care Homes, Hospitals, Prisons, Sports Venues etc.

CURB THE HALAL INDUSTRY - Label ALL Halal Products & Services 'RS' - including that Haram Meat, from livestock that was Dedicated to Allah, then Rejected as Substandard meat.

CURB THE HALAL INDUSTRY – Label ALL Halal Products & Services ‘RS’ – including that Haram Meat, from livestock that was Dedicated to Allah, then Rejected as Substandard meat.

Halal is not only a trademark, an approval… it is an integral part of Sharia, Quranic Law Regime called Islam!
If we accept Halal in our society… then we must also accept the existence of its opposite, the haram.
The muslims halal lifestyle involves every aspect of life… and all that is not halal is judged to be haram.
Soon WE Non-Muslims will be branded as HARAM or worse Kafir! (infidels).
Islamic culture, unlike other ethnic minorities in the West, tends to subdue and subjugate whatever is different from it.
We cannot give one inch to this totalitarian cult-regime that oppresses and wounds men, women and animals.
BOYCOTT HALAL !
